When I help people map their next step, one thing stands out - the move is easier when you focus on what already transfers.
Here are the three steps that make the biggest difference:
Kill the Jargon
Your experience only lands when someone outside your field can understand it. Remove internal language and translate your achievements into simple value:
Saved time
Increased revenue
Improved delivery or quality
Your aim is to make someone in another industry say, "I can use that.
Prove It Before They Ask
A CV helps, but proof of ability gets attention faster. Create 1-2 small pieces of evidence:
A short analysis
A workflow
An example project
Five minutes of proof beats five pages of experience.

Job ads won't tell you what matters most. People will. Ask those in the role:
What does a normal week look like?
What gets judged early on?
What problems need solving right now?
This gives you the clarity to pitch yourself properly.
Your past success is transferable. You're not starting again - you're building on what you already possess.
